China ...

China ...
Recently, the Chinese make a “crack-down” in Tibet. Probably because the Tibetian, or at least their concepts are considered dangerous - the making of the “enemy”. Interestingly the enemy that took to the streets were Buddhist priest. That sounds just like that other place, where they recently captured and killed priest and a Japanese camera man.

Well, Mao Tse-Tung is some time ago, but his “spirit” seems to live on. Some of Mao's quotes:

“Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.”
>> Yes, everybody can see that on TV now. But, naturally, China has prohibited all media coverage at the site. If they are RIGHT and everybody else is wrong, then they should not have any problems with showing the world what is happening, should they?

“War can only be abolished through war, and in order to get rid of the gun it is necessary to take up the gun”
>> I cannot see any signs indicative of war being abolished through the gun.

“Communism is not love. Communism is a hammer which we use to crush the enemy.”
>> Yes, sure. And WHO is the enemy? Who decides how do you define enemy? Apparently “the enemy” is everybody except a few selected party members.

“The people, and the people alone, are the motive force in the making of world history”
>> But, of course, the people in Tibet are the enemy, right?

“The atom bomb is a paper tiger which the United States reactionaries use to scare people. It looks terrible, but in fact it isn't... All reactionaries are paper tigers.”
>> I wonder whether Mao has tried to speak with survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They will surely confirm, that the A-bomb is not terrible at all ...

“All the reputedly powerful reactionaries are merely paper tigers. The reason is that they are divorced from the people. Look! Was not Hitler a paper tiger? Was Hitler not overthrown? U.S. imperialism has not yet been overthrown and it has the atomic bomb. I believe it also will be overthrown. It, too, is a paper tiger.”

>> Well, I suppose China then intends to be a REAL tiger? If that is so, and China will surpass Hitler and America, committing genocide, starting a world war, dropping atomic bombs all over the place or invading countries ........ then the REAL tiger is aiming at world domination / world destruction.

And with that ambitious tiger surely should be stopped.
Or am I missing the point that China too is talking about “world peace”.
It is already covering all neighboring countries in its “yellow dust” but still consideres information pertaining to the occurrence of those sand storms and the timing of its effects on other countries a “matter of national security”. Apparently it does not interest the tiger that many people are suffering from the noxious fumes it spreads over the world.

A long time ago I came to Japan, because I was fascinated by the concepts of Chinese philosophy. By now there is little no respect for anything Chinese left in me ...
